(3158 Lone Pine Road • Medford, OR 97504)   The Medford School District is seeking bids to construct a new trash enclosure in the parking lot west of the gymnasium at Lone Pine Elementary School. Project includes site demolition, excavation and fill, cast-in-place concrete, concrete masonry, metal fabrications, cement board siding, grading, asphalt paving, striping and miscellaneous work as shown and specified in the bid documents.  Lump sum bids will be received for the work. There is one additive alternate for renovations at the existing loading dock.   The district reserves the right to (1) reject any Proposal not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, (2) to add to the price bid by nonresident bidders an increase equal to the percent preference that the nonresident bidders home state would give it's instate bidders and (3) to reject for good cause any or all Bids that are not in the best interest of the district.   Bids shall be in accordance with the specifications and other, contract documents on file in Purchasing Department Office, phone 541.842.3780, where copies may be obtained. Also included in the scope of work is the complete demolition and removal of three boiler units, and cleanup of three limited asbestos-contaminated attic work spaces. Selective demolition of other unregulated building materials will also be required. The scope of work also includes removal and disposal of potential PCB-containing fluorescent light fixture ballasts and recycling of fluorescent light tubes. Bid alternates for the cleanup of two asbestos-contaminated crawlspaces is also included.
